Overview
Monad is a Layer-1 blockchain that re-engineers the EVM for speed: parallel transaction execution, pipelined consensus (MonadBFT), and a 300ms block time targeting 10,000 TPS — while staying fully compatible with Ethereum tooling. It was founded in 2022 by Keone Hon (ex-Jump Trading) and built by Category Labs (formerly Monad Labs). Public mainnet and the MON token launched on November 24, 2025.

Earning activity
Public mainnet live since Nov 24, 2025. Using the network now means interacting with live DeFi, not farming a future drop.
The testnet phase ended with mainnet. Testnet activity cannot retroactively qualify for the completed 2025 airdrop.
Risks
- November 2026 unlock (~16.6B MON) is a major supply overhang — expect volatility.
- The airdrop is over: any site offering MON claims, eligibility checks, or "recovery" is a scam.
- New L1 execution risk: parallel EVM is novel tech with less battle-testing than Ethereum or Solana.
- High FDV (~$2.3B) vs low circulating float amplifies price swings on unlocks.

analysisMonad is the real deal as infrastructure — $1B TVL and a live ecosystem put it in the top tier of new L1s. But as a farmer, the train for the genesis airdrop has left: what remains is using a fast chain, not farming one. The November 2026 unlock is the date I actually watch — supply shocks create both danger and opportunity, and that is analysis, not a recommendation.
