Overview
Arbitrum is an optimistic-rollup scaling solution for Ethereum developed by Offchain Labs. Arbitrum One opened to the public in August 2021 and grew into the largest L2 by activity, batching transactions off-chain and settling them on Ethereum for low fees with L1-grade security. The ecosystem is governed by the Arbitrum DAO through the ARB token.

analysisArbitrum is infrastructure, not an opportunity to farm — the airdrop is three years in the past. Its research value is as the benchmark L2: deepest liquidity, most battle-tested optimistic rollup, and a DAO treasury that periodically funds incentive programs worth watching. As analysis: future Arbitrum ecosystem programs tend to reward real usage, so staying active on the chain is reasonable positioning, but expect programs, not windfalls.
